The Brief
To create a series of typographical stings to be used as visual background elements in the Innovation Awards 2021. These annual awards are designed to specifically promote, recognise, celebrate and reward the leading individuals and businesses for their work in this vital area epitomising the exceptionally high standards set and achieved by the UK.
Challenges
The main challenges that I have currently experienced in this brief would have to be maintaining that ‘wow’ factor with each sting that is produced, as there would have to be a new element in each of the animated pieces that would really help with the impact of the award being given.
My Unique Solution
For the approach of this project, I was supplied with the design language and font already, as well as a base example of what they expected. Therefore my job was to take elements from the example and recreate them while focusing on how the type would move, transition and interact. To add an additional build-up of excitement before the final title card, I decided to create short animated icons that would represent the corresponding section of the script.
